Dressage -
Dressage is a classical, systematic training method that prepares a rider and equine partner for any discipline. Often associated with Olympic and Eventing competition, it is designed to develop the athletic abilities of the rider and the horse to their highest potential. Riders of all levels and horses of any breed may advance at their own pace through levels of training designed for advancing the partnership of both horse and rider.

R4C Ranch Team:

Riding Instructor: Carol  Poland

Horse Trainer/Instructor:  Tim Ancil

There are many ways to enjoy horses at R4C Ranch. You can take riding lessons on one of our school horses from either of our trainers; Carol Poland or Tim Ancil.  R4C Ranch riding school plans to attend horse shows throughout the year that meet the goals and interests of our students.

Your horse will benefit from Tim Ancil's horse training program. He will train your horse to the next level and then teach you to get the same results. Have a problem with your horse that needs fixing? Tim will start your horse's training as far back as necessary to help give your horse the confidence and enjoyment of being a fun, safe mount for you to ride.

In addition to the horsekeeping skills you learn from your riding instructor and horse's trainer, the ranch offers workshops on various horsekeeping skills. Our First Time Horse Ownership Program will make sure you are ready to keep a happy, healthy horse on your own. This program is available whether you've decided to purchase a horse or just enterain the idea of owning a horse someday.

You and your horse can also become performing partners when you join the R4C Ranch drill team. We attend parades and other drill performances throughout the year including the Ranch's annual 4th of July Patriotic Performance at the ranch.

The R4C Trail Club plans trail rides throughout the year offering you other ways to enjoy your horse in a fun, friendly, Christian environment.

At R4C Ranch we take horsemanship seriously but never put competition above having fun with our horses and the people who love them.

"Come on get ready for the ride of your life!!"

The pasture is currently full but please keep checking back for progress on our new barn as stalls and pasture spots will open up when construction is complete!! EST COMPLETION Spring of 2012!!

Carol’s love for horses dates back to her childhood collection of horse statues of many breeds. Her childhood dream became a reality in 1995 with the purchase of her first horse, PR Thumbelina, a half-Arabian pinto mare. Carol and Lina have taught each other what it means to love unconditionally with trust and patience.

Carol has devoted her life to learning all that she can about the best horse keeping practices, veterinary care, and training methods. She applies this knowledge to the training of her horses, the rehabilitation of rescued horses, and the instruction of her students at R4C Ranch.
